Meet the Team

Hossam Amin

Hossam is based in London, Canada, which is 2 hours outside of Toronto, Canada. Hossam is an engineer by profession and his line of work is in software testing and quality assurance. Taking over PermitPro in 2023 – which subsequently became XPDTR – has given him the opportunity to practice what he likes doing in solidifying the quality of a software product widely used in a competitive industry.

John (Tony) Elmquist

Working with architects and engineers who were frustrated with the slow pace of change at the NYC Department of Buildings, Tony created PermitPro in 1994 to help NYC building professionals speed up their workflow and get a better overview of their projects. After maintaining PermitPro for over 28 years and building a loyal customer base, Tony decided to pass on the baton to Hossam. Tony remains a strong advocate of the product.
